Conophytum bilobum ssp. gracilistylum SB 784 (Meulsteenberg)

C. bilobum normally has yellow flowers although whites sometimes occur within the main area of the species distribution. This subspecies in well isolated much to the south of all other colonies in southern Namaqualand and is the only one to have pale pink flowers. The geographical separation is so great that I wonder if it really is a subspecies of bilobum; perhaps DNA will reveal all in due course.
